Not Another Resolution

Happy 2026! It seems like we just started 2025 but also so much happened in 2025, that it’s kind of a blur.

Thank you for the loyalty and patience you have shown as the reader and recipient of my blog. You have shared them with friends and offered insightful feedback. I know when I send the blog to your email that what you don’t need is just one more email in your inbox. I am intentionally writing short, (I hope) interesting blogs that add value to your life.

Some of you are new here this year. We met at Vendor shows or Networking events. You may have started as a coaching client but stuck around for continued growth. Thank you for trusting me with your time.

In a world that is always seeking your attention, I know you could be doing many other things and I don’t take your presence for granted. Thank you.

Like you, I wear many hats in my life. I’m a business owner, coach, wife, mom, grandmother, daughter, creative, and even a student. And, also like you, I have to balance those roles regularly and negotiate my needs, knowing where I need balance, rest, and when to turn my phone off.

This is one area that I am always negotiating. The demands on my time and energy vary and so does my routine as I practice mindfulness and quiet time to recharge. Like many of you, these roles don’t take turns, they overlap.

When I reflect on the last year and evaluate what went well, where I’ve grown, and where I am currently, one thing stands out. I am proud of making my monthly therapy sessions a priority. Letting go of old narratives, learning to stay curious instead of critical, and allowing myself to feel all the emotions instead of fixing or managing them away is progress. Growth isn’t linear or complete, it’s ongoing.

Looking back, the year was full. We experienced joy and challenges, celebrations and disappointments. There were bursts of energy required to complete projects and exhaustion when they were finished. This allowed for many opportunities to practice balancing productivity with presence.

I’m learning that acceptance doesn’t mean giving up, it means telling the truth about where I am so I can move forward with grace. Not everything is resolved or wrapped up neatly with the end of a calendar year. There are still projects to complete, family dynamics to be worked out, and opportunities yet to be had that will reinforce why being ‘in process’ is not a failure, it’s human.

While there is a lot about 2026 that I don’t know, what I can be sure of is that it will hold continued growth, deeper self-trust, and more acceptance. I don’t believe in resolutions but I do believe in setting my intentions, writing out my goals and revisiting them each month with purpose and action.

I’m noticing how much energy is freed up when I stop resisting what is and meet this season with a little more gentleness.

Again, I want to thank you for taking this journey with me. As we prepare here are some thoughts to guide you.

  • What are you allowing this year?

  • What are you learning to hold gently?

Don't forget to reach out to join me on January 6, I’m hosting a live Bloom Zoom Workshop—a guided, reflective space to help you slow down, reconnect with your intentions, and begin using your Life Designer with clarity and grace.
