Moving Forward with Intention

It’s the second week of January, and before moving forward, I want to pause for a moment.

To those of you who are new here—welcome. I’m so glad you found your way to this space. Whether we met at a vendor show, a networking event, through coaching, or simply through a shared post, I’m grateful you’re here. My hope is that this blog always feels like a place you can land—a place for reflection, honesty, and gentle growth.

To those of you who have purchased the Life Designer, and to everyone who joined me for the recent workshop—thank you. Thank you for trusting my work, for showing up for yourselves, and for engaging thoughtfully in the process. Your willingness to reflect, write, and consider what matters is not small—it’s meaningful.

As we settle into this new year, I know that for many of us, January doesn’t arrive with a clean slate. There may be fear about not following through, heaviness about the state of our country, complicated family dynamics, or personal dilemmas that didn’t magically resolve when the calendar changed. These things don’t pause just because a new year begins.

And yet, here we are.

What I’m learning—and what I continue to practice—is that intention doesn’t require perfect conditions. Fear, uncertainty, grief, and frustration can exist alongside our desire to live with purpose. Waiting for life to feel lighter before we move forward often keeps us stuck. Instead, we can choose to move gently, honestly, and with care in spite of what feels heavy.

Setting intentions isn’t about guaranteeing outcomes. It’s about deciding how we want to show up, even when circumstances are challenging. It’s choosing kindness over reactivity, curiosity over criticism, and acceptance over resistance. It’s recognizing what we can influence, and offering ourselves grace around what we cannot.

This year, I’m inviting myself—and you—to proceed with intention that’s rooted in reality. To be thoughtful rather than rushed. To allow space for what’s unresolved. And to trust that small, steady choices made with care still matter and can make a positive ripple effect in your life.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to stay present and take the next honest step.

I’m grateful to be walking this year alongside you.

Much love,
