What are you thankful for?

Gratitude

*It's focusing on the good in our lives and being thankful for the things and people we have in our lives.

*Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted.

You have probably heard me talk about gratitude. When I first started practicing and how that has evolved over time. Practicing gratitude changed my life and it continues to change my life and my perspective. I found that I saw more good in the world, in my world specifically. I appreciate everything from a hot shower, to a day of accomplishments. I learned to see the small things as not so small when I recognized how significant they were and how the small things added up quickly. Practicing gratitude is what led to my quiet time and that led me to practicing meditation and to growing in empathy and compassion, not just for myself, which was important, but also for others.

Practicing gratitude leans to a certain level of contentment in life.

If you don’t have a gratitude practice and are ready to start, today is a great day to do that. Start small and simple, but start now. You can find a way that fits best in your day and your lifestyle. You can use a journal, use your phone, or even use social media. (Or you can use the space I created just for this practice in the Grace Filled Life Designer). You can practice in the morning or evening. This is your practice. You can do it the way that works best for you. The point is to do it, do it today. You will be thankful that you did.

If you celebrate Thanksgiving, have the most wonderful holiday. If you are a Black Friday shopper, like I am, be safe and take it all in stride. Don't forget to shop local and support small businesses.

Much love,
